JAMMU, Jan 16: Stating that thousands of teachers of the State are without salaries from past more than four months and their families are at the verge of starvation, Jammu Kashmir Rehabar-e-Taleem Teacher Forum has urged the Government to release the pending salaries.
In a press release issued here, JKRETTF said about 41 thousand teachers of the State are without salaries and despite repeated requests, the concerned authorities were giving only hallow assurances in this regard.
Forum threatened that if the salaries are not released soon, JKRETTF will again launch a vigorous agitation and the concerned authorities would be responsible for the same. Forum appealed the Governor and the Advisor for their personal intervention to ensure early release of their four months pending dues.
