JKPSC recruitment process

I
Sir,
This has  reference to the article ‘A take on JKPSC recruitment process’ published in this paper sometime back.
It certainly speaks volumes about the disenchantment that majority of deserving candidates feel after this JKPSC fiasco. The PSC has fallen prey to the spoils system  and it has made so many candidates suffer for no fault of theirs.
Its high time that JKPSc comes forward with the new policy which is more reasonable and rational and also brings transparency at the time of interview by recording the whole interview session and later on disseminate the information in case of dispute.
I again second Miss Rupali for every word that she has written…she has certinaly put words to the plight of so many students

Sir,
Civil services be it Central or State is the Steal Frame of the Administration/Governance.So two institutions viz UPSC  or JKPSC Come in picture. Both have  same role of recruitment, Then WHY DIFFERENCE?
Why in J&K no written test is conducted if vacancies or applicants are less than 100 or 350 respectively. Why in J & K eligibility criteria is age old, irrelevant to the present times ? Why it is not just like UPSC or UGC etc ? It is high time to have common recruitment test for Civil Services for both Central and States to be conducted by the credible UPSC as people have lost faith in JKSPC which doesn’t have any time line and is mostly subjected to Litigation resulting in frustration and what not!
General masses are apprehensive  about the evaluation, selection of State Services cadre which makes us to believe that is the reason why our state is lacking much behind others in the field of power, roads. education, digitisation, health and transparency in the administration.
Therefore Government should come out of slumber and understand that public in general & tax payer in particular is watching and comparing with other States if not with any foreign country. No one is going to digest that Stone pelting in couple of districts can deprive rest of the State of good governance or development. The whole gamut of creation of vacancies, framing of eligibility criteria, selection process with adherence to a defined time line should be revisited and revised with no scope of postponement, deferment etc. we should follow the suit, never IAS Exam was postponed in J&K, because the stake holders understood its sensitivity so why we can’t have same seriousness in JKPCS which is bombarded by RTI applications and stay orders.
