JAMMU, Mar 2: Aspirants of JKPSC and JKSSB today staged a silent protest in Jammu demanding revocation of Government order regarding withdrawing all posts before October 31, 2019.
Scores of JKSSB and JKPSC aspirants, who had applied for various posts in JKSSB and JKPSC today assembled in a park near main Tawi Bridge on Tawi River in Jammu. Wearing face masks, the aspirants staged a silent protest.
They were carrying placards in their hands with slogans ‘Revoke the draconian circular of withdrawing posts’, ‘I feel ashamed standing here after earning highest degree of PhD’ etc written on them. The aspirants said they do not want to block the roads and that is why they are staging a silent protest to project their demands to the authorities concerned.
The protesting aspirants said that the unemployment is already at its peak in Jammu and Kashmir and by issuing such circulars, Government is further escalating it. They demanded the Government to withdraw the circular and restored all the withdrawn posts, whether the same were on interview stage, written test or in litigation.
In a shocking development for tens of thousands of candidates, Government of Jammu & Kashmir had on February 4 withdrawn all the posts referred to the Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and Services Selection Board (JKSSB) before October 31, 2019, for which selections had not been finalized till then.
