JAMMU, Mar 9: Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) today announced that a programme of Anganwari workers and daily rated workers of all departments will be organized on March 13, at MAM Stadium, here from where the workers will march towards Civil Secretariat to press the State Government for immediate settlement of their demands.
Addressing a joint press conference of leaders of daily rated workers of all departments as well as Anganwari workers and helpers union, under the umbrella of J&K National Trade Union Front, State president, (JKNTUF), Mohd Gafoor Dar, expressed anguish over the Government’s negligent attitude towards their demands including framing a policy for regularization of all daily rated and need based workers working in various State Departments.
He reiterated the Union’s demands like daily wages of Rs 225 for the skilled and Rs 175 for unskilled workers as per the latest order of Government regularization policy for all ITI and non-ITI daily rated casual labourers engaged in various departments after 1994, release of pending wages of daily rated workers as regular employees of various departments of Jammu Province particularly Doda, Rajouri and Jammu, immediate release of Pay and honorarium of Anganwari workers and supervisors, which is pending for the last more than eight months.
All the leaders including Gafoor Dar, Rajinder Kumar, Tanveer Hussain, Subhash Chander, Joginder Pal, Yash pal, Nek Alam, Sat Pal Singh, Molvi Muneer, Safia Firdoos, Shashi and Amarjeet Kour collectively appealed to the ICDS workers and daily rated workers of all the departments to assemble at MAM Stadium, Jewel Chowk on March 13 at 10am sharp to make the secretariat march a successful one and to make pressure on the Government to redress their demands.
