JAMMU, May 2: The Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (J&KNTUF) has threatened to go on strike on May 21 if their demands are not met.
The spokesman of J&KNTUF, in a statement here, claimed that the State Government had agreed to settle the issues of casual labourers and need based workers working in various Government departments but nothing has been done so far. He said if the demands like regularization, release of pending wages, release of wages from proper wage head to the casual labourers working in various Government departments are not met by May 20, they will hold protest rally on May 21 to press for their demands.
While addressing a rally here in Srinagar, Trade Union leader and vice president of J&KNTUF, Mohammad Yousuf Misger, condemned the delaying policy of Government vis-a-vis their demands.
The rally was also joined by other leaders including Showket Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Showket Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Sultan and Zahoor Ahmad Bhat.
