JKNPP demands compensation to flood hit people

JAMMU, July 29: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has demanded adequate compensation to the affected families in recent incessant rains and their rehabilitation.
In a meeting here today presided over by JKNPP working president, P.K Ganju, all members expressed concern over the recent floods in Jammu province which caused a lot of damage to life and property in Kishtwar, upper reaches of Kathua, Samba and R.S Pura.
They also said that the flash floods damaged standing crops and in Poonch many bridges, link roads, agricultural lands were washed away and many houses have also collapsed in Jammu city.
The JKNPP leaders also prayed for peace to the soul of valiant Air Force Officers who lost their lives in the Mig 21 crash in Rajasthan yesterday.
Sanjay Seohdev, Saleem Sheikh, Hakikat Singh, Anita Thakur, Anil Gour, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Surjeet Singh, Surinder Kumar Wahi, Anil Rakwal, Mohinder Singh Pandu and Amandeep Singh were also present in the meeting.
