JKNPP activists protest against Railway authorities

UDHAMPUR, Aug 17: National Panthers Party activists, led by their president Balwant Singh Mankotia (MLA Udhampur), held a strong protest demonstrated against appointment of non-locals as Gang Man on Udhampur-Katra track.
The demonstration was held at Dabber Chowk Udhampur during which the protesters raised slogans against Railway authorities, Union Government and also the State Government.
While addressing the gathering, Balwant Singh Mankotia warned that discrimination with the unemployed youths of Udhampur district would not be tolerated any more. He also condemned J&K Police and Railway Police for resorting to lathicharge on Panthers Party workers at Chak Railway Station yesterday.
The protesting Panthers Party workers also torched an effigy of Chairman of Railway Board.
