JKMEF stresses for holding DPC of Health employees

JAMMU, July 26: Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu today demanded the higher authorities of Health Department to hold Departmental Promotion Committee meeting as the same has not been organized for last four years.
The demand was raised by Sushil Sudan, State president, JKMEF Jammu at Federation Office, Director Health Services Complex Jammu, while addressing a press conference. Sudan said that there are 1000 promotional posts lying vacant in many health institutions of Jammu division and the system is overburdened in the hospitals but the authorities are delaying the DPC meeting.
Sudan said that many a times, they met with Director Health Services Jammu and also with Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education Department Jammu for fixing of the date of DPC but the Director Health Services Jammu deliberately delaying the process and not paying any attention to the genuine demand of Health employees who gave their best during the pandemic period of COVID -19.
Expressing resentment over inordinate delay in holding the DPC meeting, Sudan said JKMEF Jammu is going to adopt the path of democratic struggle to press the Government to consider long pending demand of health department employees. He said the Federation is going to start a massive one-day protest dharna at all district headquarters on different dates followed by one day mega Jammu Chalo protest dharna programme in front of Directorate of Health Services complex Jammu on 24-08-2021.
Those present in the press conference were Ch Jarnail Singh (president JKGPA), Kamal Jit Sawhney (general secretary JKGPA), Pawan Singh Jamwal (president BHEW Association), Parfulat Singh (general secretary JKMEF), Jaswinder Singh (president OT Technicians), Sanjay Subey, Dharminder Singh and Madan Lal.
