JKMEF presses for immediate release of DA, DPC list

JAMMU, Oct 17: A meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was held today at the Federation office situated within the premises of the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Jammu.
The meeting, presided over by Federation president Jaswinder Singh, deliberated upon several pressing issues related to the welfare and rights of medical employees across the Union Territory.
In his address, Jaswinder Singh made a fervent appeal to the J&K Government for the immediate release of Dearness Allowance (DA) to all Government employees. He underscored that timely disbursement of DA is vital for the financial stability and morale of the workforce, particularly in the prevailing economic conditions.
Singh also called upon the Director of Health Services Jammu, Dr Abdul Hamid Zarger, to ensure the early release of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) list. He stressed that the prompt issuance of the promotion list is crucial for the career progression and motivation of the dedicated medical staff, who serve as the backbone of the public healthcare system in the Union Territory.
The meeting witnessed the presence of the Federation’s senior leadership, reaffirming unity and collective resolve on the key demands. Prominent office bearers and members who attended the meeting included Parfulat Singh (general secretary), Bahadur Singh (working president), Bharat Bhushan, Deeraj Sharma, Kulwant Singh, Sanjay Choudhary, Tajinder Singh, Madan Sharma, Surjeet Rajan, Sahil Bhagat, and Harpal Singh.
