JKMEF highlights demands

JAMMU, Oct 7: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today highlighted their demands in its meeting held here today under the presidentship of Susheel Sudan, president, Jammu province.
The meeting discussed various issues concerning the employees and highlighted their genuine dema-nds, which include transfer policy for transparency in Health Depar-tment, DPC clearance of all cadres, amendment of SRO-20, filling up vacant posts to meet shortage of staff (Gazetted/Non-Gazetted) and adequate supply to meet shortage of medicines.
The speakers also stressed for grant of risk allowance for medical employees and Bio Metric Attendance system for all (Gazetted/ Non-Gazetted staff). They also demanded that the post of Director, Health Services should be given to an IAS officer.
While addressing the meeting, Sushil Sudan urged the Government to concede their long pending demands, as Federation has already made a representation to Government through Director Health Service, Jammu on September 9, 2017 for the consideration of these demands but so far nothing concrete has been done for fulfilling their demands.
He said that the Federation is compelled by the prevailing circumstances and the delay tactics adopted by the Government to raise their strong protest on October 24 to awake the Government from deep sleep if it failed to concede their demands within 15 days .
While addressing the participants, Choudhary Jarnail Singh, working president, JKGPA, urged the Government to appoint an IAS Officer as Director Health Service Jammu to give boost to the Department.
