JKMEF discusses demands of medical employees

JAMMU, Sept 23: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Jammu province today discussed the demands of medical employees working under Health & Family Welfare Department, particularly those who have been on strike for last 27 days.
The demands were discussed during general body meeting of the Federation held here under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, president, Jammu province. The main demands that came up for discussion were permanent solution of salary head 2211, conducting DPC which is pending for last six years, creation of posts of LHV in new PHCs and giving 50% quota of Health Educators and Extension Educators to trained Female Health Worker.
While speaking on the occasion, Sushil Sudan appealed all the employees working in Health and Family Welfare Department, especially staff of National Health Mission to give full support to ongoing struggle of Female Multipurpose Health Workers, who are on strike.
It was decided in the meeting that a mass rally will be taken out from Press Club Jammu to the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu on September 24 at 9 AM sharp. Sudan appealed all acting members of the Federation to participate in the rally.
Other leaders who addressed the meeting were ID Khajuria (chief advisor of JKMEF), Vinod Kumar (secretary general) and Jarnail Choudhary (working president, JKPA).
