JKMEF discusses demands of Health employees

JAMMU, June 22: The central body of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu province discussed demands of health employees in a series of meetings held in various districts in last five days.
The members of central body who toured various district to hold discussions with health employees include Sushil Sudan (president, JKMEF), Vinod Kumar Sharma, (secretary general) and Madan Lal Sharma (secretary).
The team listened to the demands of health employees and assured them of getting justice from the higher authorities. The central body members also extended their full support to any struggle raised by any affiliated association/sister organization of JKMEF.
The major issues raised by health employees of different categories with the central body members include delinking the CSS salary from the funding sources (Corpus-delinking), clearing DPC at par with Government Medical College/Drug & Food Control Organization on the pattern of Executive Order passed by the Administrative Department till the SRO-20 (Recruitment Rules) is modified, Amendment of SRO 20 dated 24-02-1992, permanent solution of Salary Head 2211 and enhancement of FTA of Field staff (Malaria/Leprosy) from Rs 45 to Rs 1000 per month.
The employees also highlighted other demands like risk allowance to all non gazetted employees working in Health and Family Welfare Department, promotion of Female Multipurpose Health Workers who are trained LHVs in new OHCs and fixation of 50% quota of FMPHWs for promotion as Health Educators, removal of pay anomalies in the pay scale of ministerial staff and other categories, etc.
