JKMEF discusses burning issues, demands

JAMMU, May 6: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today discussed its burning demands in an online meeting with its district presidents and sister organizations under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, president of the Federation.
In view of the lockdown due to COVID-19, the presidents from various districts participated in the online meeting. The meeting discussed various demands including conduct of DPC of various categories of available vacancy, de-freezing and releasing of DA, payment of 10% extra pay of gross salary to all the employees who are performing duties as frontline warriors viz, Health and Medical Education, Police, Municipalites and other related employees as a token of encouragement and setting right the delay in payment of salary due to malfunctioning of J&K paysys/Nic.
The Federation demanded making arrangement of COVID-19 testing at various places (Lakhanpur etc.), making all necessary facilities at various places in respect of availability of PPE kit, sanitizer, N-95 masks and hand gloves, COVID and non-COVID Hospitals, besides making all facilities for random testing for Coronavirus on weekly basis, so that fool proof facilities are made to all patients and their attendants.
Others who participated in the meeting were Mansoor Doolwal, Parfulat Singh, Ch Jarnail Singh, R P Singh, Neeraj Malgar, Deeraj Sharma, Ch Aslam, Neelam Devi, Gurmeet Kour, Jatinder Singh, Kuldeep Dabgotra, Hoshair Singh Rukwal, Jaswinder Singh, Harpal Singh and Sanjay Khajuria.
