JAMMU, Feb 17: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers’ Federation (JKLTF) today met Advisor to the Governor, Pervez Devan, who is Incharge of School Education Department, and discussed their demands.
The deputation was headed by Mohan Singh, JKLTF president and Maheshwar Prasad, JKLTF working president.
The demands put forth by the deputation included free supply of books in schools, framing of transparent transfer policy, provision of all cadres of teachers in under staffed schools in rural areas, rationalization in Education Department, selection grade to Master and under Graduate teachers and earned leave to vocational staff.
The deputation also highlighted the demand of dislocation allowance to teachers of all cadres working in far flung areas, initial higher start to qualified teachers and releasing promotion lists of teachers to masters and masters to lecturers.
Pervez Devan assured the deputation to act immediately on the charter of demands put forth by it. He also called the deputation for discussion on some points of the charter of demands on February 19.
Dhaminder Singh, Prem Nath Sharma, Ravinder Verma, Talvinderjeet Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Mushtaq, Gulzar Hussain and many others were part of the deputation.
