JKHMPA elects body, discusses demands

KATHUA, Feb 9: A meeting of J&K Homoeopathic Medical Pharmacists Association, Kathua was held under the chairmanship of Satish Sharma wherein they nominated office bearers for its smooth running, today.
The office bearers are Satish Sharma as president, Saurav Ubbott as senior vice-president, Ravi Kumar Karotra as vice-president, Bhaskar Raina as general secretary, Ranjit Sharma as finance secretary, Ritu Bala as secretary, Pawan Kumar Sharma as joint secretary, Rajinder Kumar as organizing secretary, Ali Mohd, Suman Devi, Rishi Sharma, Naveen Kumar, Rohit Sharma, S Gurmail Singh, Anoop Gupta, Vipul Prasher and Gopal Krishan as executive member.
In the meeting, the members unanimously resolved that the employed homoeopathic pharmacists/dispensers under National Rural Health Mission be absorbed on regular basis like Ayurveda and Unani to be considered as per the recruitment rules and norms of pharmacists in adjoining states of Punjab, HP and Haryana etc.
The meeting also observed, that Homoeopathic Pharmacists/Dispensers who has been employed in the State Government service under NRHM i.e. registered Homoeopathic Medical Practitioners category ‘B’ should not be harassed by the concerned authorities on the name of eligibility criteria of homoeopathic pharmacists, otherwise the pharmacists will have to adopt the path of agitation and legal option.
It was also requested to State Government to sanction of posts of homoeopathic pharmacists / dispensers on regular basis in the District Homoeopathic Unit (OPD) and other supporting staff where only Homoeopathic Medical Officers were posted so that the Homoeopathic district units will run smoothly and also the general public take benefits of homoeopathic health care in the district hospital.
Other allied grievances of JKHKPA was also discussed in the meeting.
