JAMMU, Sept 15: J&K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), Jammu has constituted a committee to reach out to the flood and landslides affected people of J&K.
The committee was constituted during a meeting of JKHCBA, which was presided over by its president senior advocate MK Bhardwaj.
The committee includes Sindhu Sharma, vice president, Ranjit Singh Jamwal, general secretary, Prem N Sadotra, joint secretary, Gurveer Singh, treasurer.
The other members of the committee includes DK Khajuria, SS Lehar, senior advocate, BS Slathia, senior advocate, DS Saini, BS Manhas, HC Jalmeria, Hari Om Singh, retd Session Judge, Ashok Sharma, BR Chandan, Surinder Kour, senior advocate, Hafez-ur-Rehman, Chander Shekhar Gupta, Nirmal Kotwal, KR Qureshi, KM Bhatti, GS Gill, BS Jamwal, Rajinder Singh Raju, Rajinder Jamwal, Meharban Singh, SM Ashrifi, SH Rather, Zahid Sarfaraz Malik, Sarfaraz Hussain Shah, Gurdev Singh Thakur, AP Singh, Daljeet Singh Manhas, Ronik Sharma, Vishwajeet Singh Thakur, Atul Sharma, Atit Sharma, Sachin Dogra, Vikas Pankaj, Anusheel Vaid, Harsh Sharma, Arvind Jalmeria, Nitin Gupta, Depesh Singh Pawar, Shrishti Paul Mengi, Vilakshan Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Naveen Sharma, Pardeep Majotra, Ajay Singh Wazir, Altaf Sheikh, Tarun Gupta, Amit Sharma, Abrar Khan and Tanzir Khatana.
JKHCBA has also initiated the process of raising funds for help to the affected people and has appealed to the lawyers to contribute liberally.
JKHCBA has also expressed grave concern over the devastation caused by the heavy rains, landslides and floods in J&K which has resulted into loss of human lives, destruction of property including houses, agriculture land, cattle, besides roads and bridges.
