JKGLTA elects office bearers, highlights demands

JAMMU, June 4: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) headed by Sushil Sudan today organized a press conference to highlight demands of Government Laboratory Technicians and frame new governing body of J&K Government Laboratory Technicians’ Association (JKGLTA).
JP Singh (Supervisor Laboratory Technician) was unanimously elected as president of JKGLTA while Tilak Sharma (Senior Laboratory Technician), Vikas Gupta (Supervisor Laboratory Technician) and Jatinder Pal Singh (Supervisor Laboratory Technician) as vice-presidents of the Association.
Grifan Gill and Atul Nagar were elected as general secretaries, Sanjay Singh and Anil Sharma as joint secretaries, Anwar Choudhary and Lalit Gupta as treasurers while Sanjay Parihar, Sohan Lal, Ajay Phool, Sunil Kaith, Radha Krishnan, Om Dutt, Satnam Singh, Sat Pal Singh, Sanjay Dhar and Joginder Singh were elected as executive committee members of the Association.
Speaking on the occasion, Sushil Sudan raised some long pending demands of the JKGLTA viz. filling up of all posts of Laboratory Technician sanctioned in the year 2009, creation of new posts of Laboratory Technicians in NTPHCS, revision of Grade Pay and nomenclature of LTs as recommendations of 7th Pay Commission and risk allowance to all Laboratory Technicians.
