JAMMU, July 12: JK Grameen Bank Officers’ Association (JKGBOA) held an interacting meeting with the officers and workmen employees of JK Grameen Bank and Ellaqui Dehati Bank here.
The chief guests were Venkteshwar Reddy, Secretary General All India Regional Rural Bank Employees’ Association (AIRRBEA) and Shiv Karan Dwivedi, General Secretary, National Federation of Regional Rural Bank Employees.
The special guests were office bearers of Punjab Grameen Bank Officers Association, Punjab Grameen Bank Employees Association and Punjab Grameen Bank Retirees Association.
Ranbir Singh President and Rajinder Khajuria, Assistant General Secretary from JK Grameen Bank Retirees’ Association also participated in the meeting.
Both the chief guests highlighted the contemporary issues/demands of Regional Rural Banks such as opposition to Privatisation of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), demand for Formation of National Rural Bank of India (NFRBI), full implementation of 11th Bipartite Settlement in RRB, Labour Laws etc. They highlighted the repercussions of privatising the RRBs on the lives of common people and farmers.
In the meeting, Satvinder Singh, General Secretary, JKGBOA presented welcome address and introductory remarks.
The office bearers of JKGBOA who participated in the meeting were Naina Gupta Vice President, Anil Kumar Assistant General Secretary, Lalit Kumar Cash Secretary and Ashray Sharma Assistant Cash Secretary.
The vote of thanks was given by Gulshan Rana President JKGBOA.
