JAMMU, Oct 1: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB), one of the leading Regional Rural Bank of the State and awarded with SKOCH order of merit award for doing exemplary work on ‘Financial Inclusion through Insurance’, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co Ltd (BALIC).
The MoU was signed by Janak Raj Angural, General Manager, Head Office, J&K Grameen Bank under the guidance of the Chairman of the bank. On behalf of BALIC, Rajat Jain, Vice President, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co Ltd signed the MoU in the presence of Rahul Mahajan and Tushar Sharma, Associate Vice Presidents of BALIC.
This is third tie-up by the bank with insurance company after financial sector regulators liberalized norms governing the sale of insurance products by banks, called Bancassurance, under which banks were allowed to sell products of multiple insurance companies.
While speaking on the occasion, RK Chhibber, Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank, said that it is the moral responsibility of the bank as well as insurance company to sell the life insurance products with the proper education, satisfaction and need of the customer.
This is yet another step of J&K Grameen Bank for ‘Financial Inclusion through Insurance’ and to provide hassle-free services to the rural/urban masses. Further, he appealed people of J&K to approach our nearest branches for availing hassle free services.
