JKCCPEU members project demands of power employees

JAMMU, Dec 7: Working Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Power Employees Unions (JKCCPEU), an amalgam of various unions and associations projected burning issues of the Power employees in a meeting held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of its president, Balbir Singh (Draftman Diploma Holders Association). Manjeet Singh from PPEU, Kulbir Singh (JKEEU), Jog Raj Singh from TDL/PDL and Deep Mehra, general secretary were also present.
While speaking on the occasion these Coordination Committee members discussed burning issues of the PDD employees in detail and urged upon the Commissioner/ Secretary, Power, MD JPDCL/ MD KPDCL/ JKKPDL to solve all the pending issues of the employees/ workers. They pointed out that Employees Welfare Fund has been revoked for unknown reasons. They said the Government must ensure its annual audit for better transparency.
These working committee members pointed out that Welfare Fund of those who have passed away since long has been pending. The control of this fund be handed over to concerned MD/ Chief Engineer for proper disposal and distribution among the needy. Many PDL/TDL workers engaged before 17-3-2015 are yet unpaid. Their wages have been stopped on flimsy grounds and their wages be cleared.
They demanded to conduct DPC of Technician-III as per final seniority list issued by the DPC convener and include promotion of Draftman to Head Draftman and also include the post of Head Computer in all the Corporations. They further demanded up-gradation of Meter Reader, retention of Meter Reader in Service Recruitment rules, provision of Gazetted post for Draftman cadre and issuance of final senior list of TDL/PDL workers.
