JKCCA holds executive committee meet

JAMMU, Mar 30: Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu held executive committee meeting under the chairmanship of its President Pt Kewal K Sharma at Kud.
The meeting was held to review the performance of JKCCA during the session 2015-16 and discussed future plan of activities for the session 2016- 17.
OP Sharma, Director and Founder Member gave resume of the activities undertaken during 2015-16 and also highlighted some of the prominent and landmark activities held by JKCCA.
Members of the executive committee including DP Abrol, Vice-President, Sahil Bhardwaj, General Secretary, Anita Sharma, Treasurer, Jaswant Singh, Founder Member, Radhey Shyam, Jang S Verman, Bimal Magotra and Pt Ravi Kumar, Advisors and Amrit Kaur, Associate Member were also present.
Executive Committee approved some resolutions including the appointment of Advisors for Visual Art, Literature and Art as well as Performing Art Wings separately.
The Committee also approved the calendar of activities for the session 2016-17. The activities to be undertaken by the organization include National Visual Art Exhibition at Amritsar, National Painters’ Camp at Rajouri and Amritsar under Exchange Programme with IAFA, Children Painting, Music and Theatre Workshops at Jammu, National Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture at Kala Kendra, Jammu, Theatre Performance by Children at Jammu, Musical Evening at Jammu, International Art Exhibition on the 17th Foundation of JKCCA, All India Painters Camp and Art Exhibition at Pune and All India Art Exhibition at Lucknow.
President, JKCCA, Pt Kewal K Sharma said that JKCCA should go ahead with the action plan as per the approved programme with full zeal and vigour. He added that like yester-years the organization will prove its efficiency in an excellent manner.
