JAMMU, Dec 4: J&K Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) today paid tribute to Shaheed Havildar Chuni Lal at a programme organized here at Janipur in connection with observance of his 8th death anniversary.
A large number of members of the association attended the programme and paid floral tributes to Shaheed Chuni Lal.
Speaking on the occasion, former General Secretaryof JKBWA, R L Kaith, said he was a brave soldier of 55 Rashtriya Rifles (Grenadiers) and was killed on December 4, 2007 in a militant flush out operation in Kashmir’s Pulwama Sector. He informed that Havildar Chuni Lal was born in a Batwal family at Village Tachrwan of Tehsil Akhnoor.
Chairman of the Association, Sub Maj Romesh Sargotra, said observing the martyrdom of valiant soldiers depict the gratitude of the indebtedness people to national heroes who gave up their today for our safe tomorrow.
