JAMMU, Jan 12: Following an emergency meeting between the senior officers of Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education and the members of Central Body of the Jammu & Kashmir Private Schools Association, here today, BOSE has agreed for a special affiliation committee meeting on January 29.
Objective of the special meeting is to dilute the tension owing to tagging of those schools which were constructed on the proprietary / own land and whose affiliation / recognition had lapsed in 2021, 2022 or 2023 due to the non availability of NOCs from the different departments.
Dr Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman of JKBOSE and Secretary Sarita Sareen briefed the members that the issue of tagging of the schools was considered seriously by the all agencies of the Education Department and therefore a special affiliation committee meeting will be held in presence of Dr Piyush Singla, Secretary School Education on January 29, 2024.
“All such schools which are constructed on own/ proprietary land will be de-tagged if the owners / proprietors of all such schools submit the required NOCs even through offline mode on or before January 28, 2024,” he said, adding that no laxity will be given to those who will come to the JKBOSE after January 28, 2024.
The Chairman also promised to streamline the process of applying affiliation/ recognition through online mode with seamless synchronization with other allied departments from which different types of NOCs are required within couple of days to generate time bound mechanism.
Kamal Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Deepak Handa, Gaurav Charak and other members of the central body were the part of the discussion over the burning issue of tagging of schools.
