JAMMU, Feb 19: J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has successfully concluded the examination process of Higher Secondary Examination Part II (Class 12th), Session Annual, Regular, 2020 Winter Zone of Jammu Division with the declaration of its result today despite unprecedented challenges posed by the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
A total number of 15056 candidates appeared in the said examination spread over 183 Examination Centres, out of which 10672 have been declared qualified constituting 71 percent of the total examinees.
Girls have again outnumbered boys by scoring a pass percentage of 73 whereas boys stood at 69 percent. In Science stream, the first position has been bagged by Rahul Sharma of Sunita Devi Memorial HSS, Kishtwar by scoring 97.6 percent marks, Mohd Edrees Mir of GHSS(B), Bhaderwah is the topper of Commerce Stream with 86.6 percent marks whereas Sana Amin Malik from GGHSS, Kishtwar excelled in Arts Stream with 91.4 percent marks. Most of the top positions have been bagged by the Government schools.
According to Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson, JKBOSE, high success rate of the result shows that the Online classes and Community classes have remained fruitful endeavours. “Students having any query regarding their results must contact either us or their School Principals, ” she added.
This is the first in the series of results going to be declared by the JKBOSE in coming days for the examinations conducted in both Jammu and Kashmir Divisions. The JKBOSE is the first Board in the entire country to successfully conduct the examinations through offline mode during the COVID-19 pandemic situation after fulfilling all the SOPs and precautionary measures in this regard.
The result is available online on the official website of JKBOSE www.jkbose.ac.in and on www.indiaresults.com as well. The candidates can also avail SMS facility by sending the text message to 5676750 by typing jkbose12 followed by a space and Roll No. e.g., “ jkbose12 Roll No.”. Those who don’t have access to Mobile Phones or internet, can get their results from their nearest JKBOSE office where the soft copies of result gazettes have been provided. The result is also available in the offices of the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts for the convenience of the students and general public.
