JKBOSE allows migration from CBSE, other boards

Srinagar, Sept 10: With the implementation of the Uniform Academic Calendar in J&K, the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has allowed the migration from CBSE or other Education Boards of the country to its affiliated institutions in J&K as well as Ladakh.
As per the JKBOSE directives it has been notified for the information of all the concerned that the candidates desirous of seeking migration from C.B.S.E. or other Education Boards of the country to JKBOSE affiliated Institutions in Kashmir Division/Winter zone areas of Jammu Division including U.T of Ladakh shall be allowed to do so from the current session.
“Besides Inter-provincial Migration shall be now also granted in favor of the desirous candidates seeking migration from Jammu Division to Kashmir Division and Vice versa, including for those students of CBSE or other Boards of the country who have already sought admission in Jammu Division in Current Academic session,” an order issued here said.
It said that while the Uniform Academic Calendar has been implemented in the U.T. of J&K and U.T. of Ladakh from current Academic session, the same resulted in restructuring examination schedule and now Annual Regular Examination of classes 10th, 11th and 12th shall be held uniformly in March in the whole U.T of J&K and Ladakh, excluding Hard Areas.
