JKBOA expresses concern over rising COVID-19 cases in bank branches

JAMMU, July 19: J&K Bank Officers’ Association (JKBOA) today expressed concern over increasing footfall in branches of the bank with every passing day viz-a-viz growing COVID-19 cases.
The issue was discussed in a meeting of the Association chaired by Anil Kumar Sharma (president JKBOA Jammu unit), in Union office, here today. The speakers requested the general public to visit the branches only in case of urgency, with wearing proper masks and follow social distancing norms among other issued guidelines.
The speakers said that they are worried and concerned with regard to the health of their colleagues working in the present odd circumstances. Stating that the Bank has issued various circulars with regard to SOPs, they appealed all their colleagues to follow these circulars and the guidelines issued by the MHA, J&K Government and the respective district administrations without falling to any kind of rumors in the market.
The Union members also discussed in length the related issues and other security concerns of their staff viz-a-viz customer service during the COVID -19 period with the CMD of J&K Bank.
The members were assured by the CMD of J&K Bank that the Bank holds utmost concerns for the security of each of its employee. He apprised the members that necessary guidelines have also been issued to concerned departments and that the management of Bank is just a call away to address any COVID-19 related issue of any employee of the bank.
