JAMMU, Feb 25: With the purpose to make the masses of locality financially literate, J&K Bank (JKB), Jourian, today organized a financial literacy camp at Indri Road, Jourian wherein a large number of local people participated.
At the outset, the Branch Head, Dhananjay Kapoor, apprised the participants about the various schemes and products of deposits and insurance of the bank such as PMJJBY, PMSBY and Atal Pension Yojna, Ladli Beti and other financial assistances being provided to its customers.
Kapoor discussed about the features of Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) as it was meant for the purpose of bringing the entire population particularly people living below poverty line within the banking fold, by opening their accounts in banks for extending the benefits of ICT enabled financial services to the people especially living in unbanked areas.
The participants actively interacted with the staff of the bank.
