JAMMU, Sept 12: While exhibiting its responsible corporate citizen character, J&K Bank handed over 50 water proof tents, 150 blankets & 100 tarpaulin to the rainfall affected families in the Pancheri area of district Udhampur.
A team of J&K bank officers, headed by Cluster Head, J&K Bank, S Iqbal Singh, flagged off the items to far flung areas Panchari and Mongri to be donated among the affected people.
Speaking on the occasion, S Iqbal Singh commented that J&K State at present was going through an unprecedented catastrophe in which a number of valuable lives have been lost, and there has been extensive damage to the property. In this need of hour, this is just a small effort from J & K Bank to provide some relief to the affected people in the Udhampur area, he added.
He also urged the people to make their valuable contribution in providing relief to the rain and flood affected people in every possible way they can. An account, 0028040100031495, in the name of “Donors Disaster Relief Fund” has been opened by the District Administration at J & K Bank branch, Court Complex, Udhampur for this purpose.
