JAMMU, May 29: A delegation of J&K Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) led by its president Surinder Radotra met Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary and Director Agriculture Jammu, Inderjeet, today.
In the meeting with Navin Kumar Choudhary at civil secretariat, Jammu, the eight-member delegation presented a memorandum to him concerning two burning issues on behalf of AEAs of J&K UT. The demands put forth by the delegation were conduct DPC of AEAs to JAEOs immediately after clubbing inter-se-seniority of AEA’s of both divisions of J&K UT by Implementing SRO 442 in letter and spirit, and inclusion of 7, 8 and 9 years of service rendered by AEAs since 2007.
The delegation later also met Director Agriculture Jammu with a representation of similar demands. The delegation said that they have moved from pillar to post in last two decades and met several leaders, ministers of the ruling parties, bureaucrats and many others from top to bottom and bottom to top and submitted memorandums at regular intervals but all give them hollow assurances and did nothing so far on the ground towards redressal of their demands.
“As per extant Government guidelines, we need to fix seniority of AEAs of both feeding cadre divisions on UT level in order to fill 1391 JAEO posts of entire UT,” the members of delegation asserted and further demanded to include seven years of their rendered services as REZ as period of regular service on the analogy of ReTs, (Rehbar-E Taleem) who have already been benefited.
The delegation said since AEA cadre of J&K U T is on the wrong side of age factor (maximum candidates have already crossed 40 years of age) and length of their service left is very less, so to secure their future and to address this human cause with a healing touch the inclusion of 7, 8 and 9 years of their service as REZ is very essential.
The Principal Secretary assured the delegation that demands of the AEAs shall be looked into and addressed within a short period of time.
