JAMMU, Mar 31: A cultural programme was organised by JKAP-6th battalion at Behra Mendhar today in which a number of people including prominent citizens/retired police personnel and women participated.
The programme started with welcome address by Altaf Hussain Shah ‘SSP, Dy.Commandant of the Battalion. various cultural items were presented by reputed cultural teams and college school students.
The cultural programme included group songs, group dance, patriotic songs and informative items which was appreciated by the locals. The programme continued for three hours.
The programme concluded with distribution of mementos and prizes among the participants. Speaking on the occasion Commndant JKAP 6th battalion (SSP Poonch), Ramesh Angral complimented the participants as well as the public for their active involvement in making the function a success.
Angral stated that the objective and aim of the programme is to bridge the gap between police and public.
