POONCH, Apr 5: The 6th Battalion of Jammu Kashmir Armed Police ( JKAP), under Civic Action Programme distributed blankets among the inmates (orphans/ widows) of the Mendhar Nari Niketan today.
In a simple function organised at Nari Niketan Mendhar today, under the supervision of Commandant of the Battalion, Parshotam Kumar Sharma (SSP), the JKAP Battalion officials donated the blankets to the orphans and widows of this SWD orphanage. The members from Govt organizations, NGOs and SWD were also present on the occasion. A good number of civilians of the area also witnessed the programme.
The event was managed to make the police- public relations better and to inculcate maximum respect in the eyes of public, besides to extend the helping hand towards poor people as a social service being a step of humanity which is the aim of Police Department to serve more and more for people in general and particularly poor and needy.
In addition to above, refreshment was also given to the participants at the end of the event.
