JKAACL organizes Dogri Mahila Kahani Gosthi

JAMMU, Aug 11:  J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Jammu, today organized a Dogri Mahila Kahani Gosthi in the K L Saigal Hall, Jammu.
Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan, Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion while N D Jamwal, a veteran Litterateur and established multifaceted personality, presided over the function.
N  D Jamwal, in his presidential address, appealed before the cream of learned minds present in the hall to extend their full cooperation to the Academy in achieving the aim in respect of promotion of Art, Culture and Languages.
Anjali Sharma, said that after hearing the short stories read by the women writers, she was of the view that their short stories could compete with the stories being written in other developed languages.
Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary JKAACL, in his welcome address, highlighted some of the important activities being made in connection with Jashan-e- Aazadi. He said that on August 13, 2015 a big folk music and dance prgoramme is being organized by J&K Academy in collaboration with Dean Student Welfare, University of Jammu in which folk artist more than 100 in number drawn from different corners of the Jammu Division shall show-case the folk culture of the Jammu Division.
Shiv  Dev Singh Susheel, Vijay Sharma, Baljeet  Raina, Hardeep Singh Deep, Deepak Virdhi, Urja Singh,  Rita Khadyal and number of students of  different  educational institutions were also present on the occasion.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Rattan Lal Basotra, Asstt. Editor and vote of thanks was delivered by Ashok Gupta Editor Dogri who was also the incharge of the programme.
