J&K UT Karate C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Dec 10: The Traditional Karate-Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir concluded the JK UT Karate Championship at Indoor Sports Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, here today. The event saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 350 students representing various districts and clubs across Union Territory, displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship in both Kata and Kumite events.
The closing ceremony was graced by Keshav Chopra, Chairman of Samvedna Society, as the chief guest and Ritika Slathia as guest of honour. Keshav Chopra distributed medals and praised young athletes. The championship was organized under the leadership of Naresh Chander, President of the Traditional Karate Association of J&K.
A vote of thanks was presented by Umesh Rekhi, General Secretary, acknowledging participants, officials, parents and the technical team for ensuring the event’s grand success.
The event saw seamless coordination by a dedicated technical and organizing team, including Sohail Ashraf, Amin Dar, Amir Gulzar, Bhawna Sadhotra, Adit Sadhotra, Shashi Janotra, Happy Kohli, Udhay Singh, Utsal, Aryan Sharma, Ishan Verma, Raghav Sahni, Kajal and Anirudh.
