JAMMU, Dec 20: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-of-War Association under selected teams to participate in the 19th Sub Junior and 30th Junior Men National Tug of War Championships, being held from December 23 to December 25, 2017 at Divisional Sports Complex, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
The teams were selected by S Hardeep Singh Anand, President of the Association, Jodh Singh Isher, Secretary and Jasvir Singh, Joint Secretary J&K Tug of War Association, under the supervision of J & K Sports Council Screening Committee members comprising of Haji Abdul Qyoom, Chief Sports Officer, Ravi Kumar, Divisional Sports Officer and various Committee members at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, here.
The selected players for 19th Sub Junior under weight category 480 Kg included Jaspreet Singh, Karan Sharma, Mohd Shabir, Dinesh, Sanjog Paul, Vansh Mahajan, Mridul Gupta, Mushraff and Rohit.
500 Kg included Raghav Sharma, Prajwal, Vinesh, Lovely, Sushant, Rahul Choudhary, Inderpreet, Gurjeet and Rumal Singh and 30th Junior Men National under weight category 540 KG included Hyder Maqbool, Mandeep, Basharat, Shubham, Navjeet, Rahul Kumar, Navjot, Aditya and Sahil Sharma.
560 Kg men invluded Akshay, Vivek, Sachin, Sahil, Gagandeep, Akash, Sudeep Singh, Parvinder and Harpreet Singh.
Gorav Kumar Dubey, Vinay Sharma, Robin Singh, Ajay Kumar and Satinder Pal Singh are accompanying the team as coaches and managers.
Hardeep Singh Anand, President of the Association distributed kits among the players before departure of the teams. The kits were sponsored by Trans Asia Hotels Pvt Ltd Unit Cygnett Park Asia, Jammu.
