JAMMU, June 19: J&K Tourist Trade Peoples Federation has appealed to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and LG Manoj Sinha to ensure that pilgrimage tourism of Jammu province is explored properly.

In a press conference here today, Federation chairman, Mahesh Padha and president, Nikhil Padha said that Char Dham pilgrimage is available in J&K at shrines like that of Amarnath in Kashmir, Sudh Mahadev in Udhampur, Shiv Khori in Reasi and Budda Amarnath in Poonch.
They also counted more pilgrimage places in Jammu division like Char Devi Darshan after Vaishno Devi shrine, Pingla Mata in Udhampur, Chauntra Mata in Majalta, Sukrala Mata in Kathua, Chichi Mata in Samba and Bawe Wali Mata in district Jammu.
Mahesh Padha told reporters that his organisation will start road shows with 20 volunteer teams from July 10, 2025 to August 9, 2025 during the period of Amarnath Yatra to highlight the pilgrimage places of Jammu province.
“Machail Yatra in Kishtwar and Bawa Jitto Jhiri Mela in Jammu will also be highlighted,” he maintained demanding tourist circuits in all the districts of Jammu province to facilitate the visiting pilgrims.
Manju Sharma, general secretary, Kiran Kachroo, Amit Kesar, general secretary, Anil Baba, secretary, Pardeep Chauhan, vice president, Vikram Sharma, joint secretary and Rattan Sharma were also present in the press conference.
