JK Tourism sets benchmark at ITM Ludhiana

LUDHIANA, Aug 20: An all-inclusive participation of Jammu & Kashmir delegation in the 3 days Tourism Exhibition organized at Ludhiana by India Travel Mart (ITM) from August 18 to 20 enhanced the scope of making all three regions viz-a-viz Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as destinations of high esteem.
Dr Umesh Shan, Assistant Director Tourism led the delegation of officials/non-officials and stakeholders at the ITM. The team presented the State as a collective bouquet of diverse tourism interests. The Assistant Director gave details about the significance of new tourist circuits and also deliberated upon the upgraded tourism infrastructure.
The high point of the event was earmarked by an introductory circuit of “Sampooran Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Tirath” and tourist destinations in and around Jammu city within the radius of 40 Kms, adding a refreshing dimension of scenic / spiritual essence to the existing pilgrimage circuit of Jammu region, an initiative of Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, followed by highlighting new tourism destinations of Vale of Kashmir in complementation to fresh verticals of Kargil and Leh.
While appreciating the efforts and support of J&K Tourism Department, Ajay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, ICM Group announced, that he will initiate an information dissemination cell about these new tourist circuits and facilities, announced by J&K Tourism in all the travel fairs and events organized by his group in order to provide sleeper effect to the initiatives of the J&K Tourism.
