NEW DELHI, June 5: Students from J&K met President of India, Pratibha Devi Singh Patel at Rashtrapati Bhawan, during Educational tour organised by 47 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles.
Around 30 students and 4 teachers of Kandi Bowl, district Kupwara, were on the 10 day long educational tour which commenced from village tarats on May 31.
These students have come out of the Valley for first time in their life and widened their horizon to see the places of interest at the capital and have a first hand experience of secular and united country.
During the educational tour, students along with their teachers visited Delhi, Dehradun and Mussorie besides Indian Military Academy.
They also witnessed the passing out parade at Dehradun, which immensely motivated the students to join the armed forces in the service of the nation.
The tour was organised by the army with an aim to enlighten the students with the vibrant and colourful culture of the nation.
