J&K setting new records under Modi Govt: Sukhnandan

JAMMU, July 17: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar today said Jammu and Kashmir is shaping new records of development under the guidance of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Sukhnandan, while addressing the gathering at Sohajana in Tawi Island Phallian Mandal in Marh constituency, lambasted the previous governments of the NC, Congress and PDP accusing them of misappropriating the funds meant for the development of these regions.
Choudhary Sukhnandan also invited Commissioner Secretary, Ashok Parmar to the spot to start Lift Irrigation Scheme at Sohajana only for agricultural purposes.
Parmar assured the villagers to start the project at an earliest for the benefit of villagers.
The former Minister enumerated various development works initiated in Jammu by the BJP Government and said, “Under the able guidance of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Jammu and Kashmir Government prioritized the development projects related to Jammu and Kashmir and in no time it will witness world-class infrastructure with modern technology in every field.
Special emphasis has been laid on developing the underdeveloped areas, especially the far-flung and the hilly areas with difficult terrain, he said.
Sukhnandan said that under the Modi Government all communities have been strengthened socially, economically and politically.  He also spoke on the specific projects and policies of the BJP Government that have provided benefits to the locals.
Besides, Ashok Parmar, the Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control, Umesh Manchanda, Sarpanch Sohajana, Balbir Singh and other officers and prominent citizens of area were present.
