J&K reports 177 cases, Ladakh 23

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Dec 2: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 177 COVID positive cases while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 23 positives.
No casualties were reported in the two UTs.
Among 177 cases, 140 were registered in Kashmir and 37 in Jammu region.
Reasi reported 18 cases and all of them were travelers who tested positive on their arrival at Katra Railway Station, Jammu district recorded 15 cases, Poonch two and Kathua and Udhampur one each while rest of the districts didn’t report any cases.
Thirty six persons recovered from the virus leaving behind number of active positive cases in Jammu region to 382.
Among 23 cases in the UT of Ladakh, 18 were reported from Leh district and five in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 285 active positive cases including 259 in Leh and 26 in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 140 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 58 from Srinagar, 29 from Baramulla, 13 from Budgam, 4 from Pulwama, 11 from Kupwara, 11 from Anantnag, 7 from Bandipora, 5 from Ganderbal and 2 from Kulgam.
The number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 212,062 including 208,455 recoveries and 2,292 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,697 including 1,315 from Kashmir division.
With 167 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 331,089 which is 98.17 percent of the total cases.
