J&K logs 84 cases, Ladakh 24

JAMMU/SRINAGAR /LEH, Feb 26: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 84 COVID positive cases while Ladakh recorded 24.
Sixty three cases were registered in Jammu division and 21 in Kashmir valley.
Jammu district reported 30 positives followed by Doda 15, Kishtwar and Udhampur six each, Kathua three, Ramban two and Rajouri one.
Samba, Poonch and Reasi districts didn’t report any cases.
As against 63 cases in Jammu, 158 persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases in the division to 491.
The UT of Ladakh reported 24 COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 230 active positive cases including 215 in Leh and 15 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 21 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 12 from Srinagar, 1 from Baramulla, 4 from Budgam, 3 from Kupwara and 1 from Bandipora.
With the fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 287,015 including 284,212 recoveries and 2,423 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 871 including 380 from Kashmir division and 491 from Jammu division.
With 208 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,282 which is 98.76 percent of the total cases.
