JAMMU: The host Jammu and Kashmir today lifted the Under-17 National School Games Trophy in cricket by defeating Telangana at a final played at Maulana Azad Staidum here.
Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Information Technology and Technical Education, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari congratulated the J&K team for winning 61th National School Games (U-17 Girls) Cricket Championship.
He also expressed gratitude to School Games Federation of India under whose aegis the National School Games were held here. The Minister said State’s youth have earned laurels for themselves and the State while participating in National and International games.
President, School Games Federation of India (SGFI), Padamshree Mahabali Satpal was the guest of honour on the occasion. (AGENCIES)
