J&K is an irrevocable part of India: Gupta

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 28: The former Union Minister and MLA, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta has deplored the campaigning of settled issues and alleged that the secession is being talked which mounts to sedition.
He said Jammu and Kashmir is an irrevocable part of India and it was ridiculous to link this fact with change or no change with any dispensation at New Delhi. Similarly, it was not proper to talk to force out anyone to Pakistan if he votes this or that way. Such issues are being raked up to play with the galleries but resulting in uncalled for tensions and hatred amongst various sections of the society.
Prof Gupta said in a democracy the elections make any Government accountable but it was pity that in the ongoing election campaigning the real issues are being over shadowed by talking much about accession of the State, Autonomy, strengthening of controversial Article 370 and so on. This he observed is encouraging separatism and terrorism which have already harmed great to the people and the national interests.
Prof Gupta pointed out that real issues facing the people are corruption, soaring prices, unemployment, drinking water, electricity, poor PDS and consumers not getting rations, awful condition of roads, sad fiscal position resulting in halt to developmental activities etc. Above all little governance despite mounting expenses.
He said that it is time for rulers to put for their achievement instead of raking issues which lead to hatred  and bickering amongst people.
