JAMMU, July 1: The J&K branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated 72nd CA Foundation Day wherein former J&K Cabinet Minister, CA Sat Sharma also joined.
The celebrations started with flag hoisting ceremony at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu which was followed by donation of COVID-19 fight back essentials such as sanitizers and face shields.
Later on, night suits and fruits were distributed amongst the children of ‘Balgran-A charitable home for Destitute Children’ at Channi Rama.
Earlier, as part of CA Week, the Executive Committee Members of J&K branch of NIRC of ICAI along with branch staff also cleaned the branch premises at Canal Road Jammu along with the nearby surroundings under Swachch Bharat Abhiyan.
Sat Sharma greeted the Chartered Accountants on CA Day and lauded their role for holding events like fitness drive, plantation drive, Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan and donations to the under privileged during the CA Week.
CA Lalit Kumar Gupta, Chairman J&K ICAI branch in his inaugural address welcomed the guests and emphasized on the importance of the day.
He urged the members to once again pledge their allegiance to the great CA profession and rededicate themselves by contributing their part during this tough time of pandemic where the whole globe is passing through an economic crisis.
Vinay Jamwal, Vice Chairman; Nakul Saraf, Secretary; Shalay Razdan, Ex-Chairman and Arvind Dev Jamwal, JKCASA Chairman along with number of CAs took part in the celebrations.
