JAMMU, May 19: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has granted the benefit of notional effect to the promotions of several officers and officials of the High Court staff from December 31, 2025.
According to an order issued by Registrar General M.K. Sharma, the decision was taken after considering representations submitted by various officers who were promoted earlier through separate High Court orders issued in January and February this year in the Administrative Cadre.
The order stated that the Committee for Appointment and Promotion of Officials/Officers of the High Court Staff, duly approved by the Chief Justice, approved the grant of notional promotion benefits from the date the resolution was adopted.
However, the benefit will not apply to 6 officers, including Registrar Ajay Sharma, Deputy Registrars Dalip Razdan and Shajii Bhat, and Assistant Registrars Asima Illyas, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani and Nazir Ahmad Ganai.
