JAMMU, Aug 17: All J&K Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha has expressed strong resentment over the action of Central Govt at Delhi where a religious place has been damaged in road widening operation.
Talking to media-persons after convening a meeting of the Sabha, its president Piran Ditta said that Dalits are being targeted in the country. He said though Indian constitution has granted equal rights to every person in the country but Ramdassia Samaj has been victimised. Their worship places are being dismantled on the name of development.
Referring to the damage caused a temple of Guru Ravi Dass ji at Tuglakabad in Delhi, Piran Ditta said that 600 years old temple has been damaged in the Union capital. He alleged that on the direction of Modi Govt this temple has been demolished and huge chunk of land has been covered.
He pointed out that there was strong resentment among the people of this community over the Govt action. Sabha urged upon the President of India Ram Nath Kovind to intervene personally and restore the temple land back to the management. He threatened to launch a long agitation if the Delhi Govt failed to restore the land to the Temple management. Sabha further decided to support all the Ramdassia organizations on the issue.
Prominent among those present in the conference included – R K Raja, S S Bassan, Dr Raj Pal Hans, Mulakh Raj, Ramesh Hans, JL Digra, B D Digra, Deepak Bangotra, Manoj Kumar, Chaman Lal, Mohan Lal, Darshan Lal, Ajay Kumar, Mangal Dass, Paras Ram, Madan Lal and Churu Ram.
