JAMMU, Nov 30: J&K Grameen Bank signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Religare Health Insurance Company Limited (Religare Health) which is a leading health insurer engaged in distribution and servicing of health insurance products and is amongst the top-most standalone health insurers in the industry.
The MoU was signed by Janak Raj Angural, General Manager, Head Office, J&K Grameen Bank in the presence of Chairman of the bank. On behalf of Religare Health, Chandrakant Mishra, Director and Head, Institutional Business, Religare Health Insurance Company Limited signed the MoU in the presence of Pankaj Bhandari, Corporate Manager of Religare Health.
This is yet another tie-up by bank with insurance company after financial sector regulators liberalized norms governing the sale of insurance products by banks, called Bancassurance, under which banks were allowed to sell products of multiple insurance companies.
RK Chhibber, Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank while speaking on the occasion said that the need and importance of health insurance is increasing day-by-day in both rural as well as urban areas. The expenses and costs incurred on the medical treatment are increasing substantially day-by-day due to availability of latest technology for best to best treatments, covering the health hazards of our valuable customers is the need of the hour. He requested people of J&K to approach their nearest branches for availing hassle free services.
Jeetendra Bharadwaj, Chief of Audit and Inspection, KL Sharma, Senior Manager, Personnel and AMID at HO, Ajay Bharti Gupta, Senior Manager, PDG Department at HO, Mukul Mehta, Private Secretary to Chairman, Raghav Gandotra, Manager, AMID from J&K Grameen Bank, were also present on the occasion.
