J&K girl exhibits work in India Art Festival

JAMMU, Jan 20: Hailing from District Baramulla of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehak Kaur Sodhi, a post graduate from Tata Institute of Sciences exhibited her work in the India Art Festival 2019 (India’s Contemporary Art Fair–12th edition) at Nehru Centre Worli Mumbai.
Grand daughter of Anoop Singh Sodhi and daughter of Commodore DS Sodhi and Anita Kaur Sodhi, Mehak an established artist displayed her paintings and exhibits in contemporary art in the Individual Art Pavilion.
Her paintings exhibit unique style and technique and her work has been well appreciated.
India Art Festival has indeed been a feast for art lovers. The art festival held at Nehru centre from January 17 to 20 witnessed use of bright colours in artworks and 40 galleries and 550 artists from all over the country participated in this edition of the fest.
One of Mehak’s painting was used by the leading print media in their write ups.
She has also presented her work to various dignitaries and celebrities that include Dr Farooq Abdullah, Tina Ambani, Virat Kohli (Captain of Indian Cricket Team), MS Dhoni, Actor Salman Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
She intends to exhibit her work in Jammu as well as Kashmir in near future.
