JAMMU, Oct 10: The members of J&K Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Staff Welfare Association Jammu, held protest demonstration in front of their office here today.
They were demanding release of their salary of August and September 2023, resolve GPF interest rate issue, holding of DPC of the cadre and settlement of pending SRO-43 cases.
During one hour protest at their office, the EPF employees were shouting slogans in support of their demands. They alleged that due to non-release of their salaries their families were facing hardships. They cautioned the higher authorities in the department to address their issues by next Monday, otherwise, they will be compelled to launch indefinite strike from October 16. Several members of the Association addressed the gathering and criticized the higher authorities for ignoring their issues.
