J&K clinches T10 National C’ship

JAMMU, Nov 11: In a historic achievement for Jammu & Kashmir cricket, the J&K T10 team lifted the National Championship trophy at Venus Stadium, Roorkee (UP). The team’s blend of skill, strategy and resilience proved decisive in their triumphant campaign.
The final saw Uttar Pradesh elect to bat first, posting 105/7 in 10 overs. Yash scored a top 40, while Rajat contributed 14 runs. The J&K bowlers put up a disciplined performance, with Akram and Ishtaq taking two wickets each and Deepak Dogra, Anil Kumar and Sahil picking up one wicket apiece.
Chasing a modest target, Jammu & Kashmir finished at 106/1 in just eight overs, with Akash Choudhary smashing an unbeaten 59 and Kartik Sharma contributing an undefeated 40. The team secured a comprehensive nine-wicket victory, with Choudhary named Man of the Match and Best Batsman of the Tournament, while Deepak Dogra received the Best Bowler award for his consistent and incisive spells.
Captain Anil Kumar’s dynamic leadership was pivotal throughout the championship, guiding the team with strategy and inspiration. Team Manager Dr. Manjeet Singh ensured smooth operations, allowing players to focus on performance. The squad extended gratitude to sponsors.
