JAMMU, Apr 17: All J&K Central Para Military Force Welfare Association has elected its new office bearers of the central body and district units.
S S Manhas has been elected as chairman and R L Dogra as State president while Som Nath Sharma was elected as vice-president and Thoru Ram as well as Mohd Majid as general secretaries. D D Sharma was elected as cashier and Netar Singh as advisor.
For the district bodies, Bodh Raj was elected as president and Rattan Lal as vice-president for Jammu district while Mohinder Singh was elected as district president for Rajouri.
For Kathua district, Jankar Chand was elected as president, Karan Singh as vice-president and Sat Pal as cashier.
For Samba district, Gurbachan was elected as president, Chuni Lal as vice-president, Alam Din as general secretary and Prag Singh as secretary.
Shabeer Ali has been elected as district president for Rajouri.
The elections were held during a meeting of the Association, held under the chairmanship of working president R L Dogra, at Shakti Nagar Jammu.
On the occasion, the Association members also put forward their suggestions before the empowered committee.
